Child Safety Standards
Reelpin is committed to keeping children safe on our platform. This page sets out our standards and procedures for preventing, detecting, and responding to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any material that depicts it (CSAM).
1. Who this policy applies to
These standards apply to:
- Every user of the Reelpin mobile app (Google Play package
app.reelhub.creator; equivalent iOS bundle). - Every visitor to public profile pages we host at www.reelpin.app.
- All content uploaded to or shared through Reelpin — including avatars, playlist covers, custom backgrounds, logos, link metadata, and the Instagram Reels referenced in user playlists.
2. Minimum age
Reelpin is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or upload content. If a parent, guardian, or any user believes a child under 13 has registered, please email us immediately at abhishekteotia728@gmail.com and we will remove the account within 72 hours.
3. Prohibited content and behaviour
The following are strictly prohibited on Reelpin:
- Any image, video, audio, or text that sexually exploits a child or depicts a child in a sexualised manner — created, hosted, or linked to from a Reelpin playlist, profile, or in-bio link.
- Grooming behaviour — soliciting, manipulating, or coercing a minor for any sexual or exploitative purpose.
- Sharing, trading, or advertising access to CSAM.
- Linking to external sites, channels, or content that promotes, hosts, or distributes CSAM or grooming material.
- Impersonating a minor for any purpose.
- Using Reelpin to contact, follow, or otherwise approach minors for sexual or exploitative purposes.
4. How we prevent, detect, and remove CSAE content
4.1 Account creation
- Users authenticate via Firebase Authentication (Google or email/password). We require an active email address that is verifiable.
- Account creation is subject to our Terms of Service and this policy.
- We disable accounts created with the apparent purpose of evading a prior suspension or ban.
4.2 Content moderation
- All uploaded images (avatars, playlist covers, reel thumbnails, custom logos, page backgrounds) are screened on upload. We use automated detection plus human review for flagged assets.
- Profile metadata (display name, bio, link titles, link URLs) is scanned for prohibited terms and known-bad URL patterns.
- Embedded third-party content (Instagram Reels referenced by URL) remains hosted on Instagram. Reels reported to us as containing CSAE are removed from the referencing playlist immediately and reported upstream.
4.3 User reporting
- Every public Reelpin profile page exposes a report mechanism via our support contact (see Section 7). We are actively building an in-app "Report" affordance reachable from any playlist or link tile; in the meantime we accept reports by email at abhishekteotia728@gmail.com with the subject line CSAE report.
- Reports are triaged within 24 hours. CSAE reports are prioritised and reviewed by a designated safety lead.
- Confirmed CSAE leads to immediate account suspension, content removal, evidence preservation in line with applicable law, and reporting to the relevant authorities.
4.4 Cooperation with law enforcement
Reelpin cooperates fully with lawful requests from law-enforcement agencies investigating CSAE. We preserve evidence in accordance with the U.S. 18 U.S.C. §2258A reporting requirements (via NCMEC) and India's Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) as applicable.
5. Designated child-safety point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child-safety matters is:
- Role: Child Safety Lead
- Email: abhishekteotia728@gmail.com (subject line: CSAE report or Child safety)
- Response SLA: Triage within 24 hours, action within 72 hours.
Law-enforcement agencies and the public may use the same email to submit takedown requests, preservation requests, and investigatory correspondence.
6. Compliance with applicable laws and standards
Reelpin's operations comply with, at minimum:
- United States: 18 U.S.C. §2258A (reporting requirements for electronic communication service providers) and reporting through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.
- India: Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) and Sections 67B of the IT Act, 2000. Reports may also be filed via the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in).
